Last week, I was reading a post from one of our college students. The post was about how college students and young people often feel the need to try something because they are afraid of missing out. That type of mentality will sometimes lead into sin. It gives the sense of urgency to do something they have never done before, because they don’t want to regret missing out. The Bible says in Psalms 34:9-10, “Oh, fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack! The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.”
Paul had all, and abounded, because he was content (Philippians 4:11-18). If we trust in ourselves and think that our own efforts are sufficient, then we are always going to be in want. But if we trust in the Lord and what he has promised, then we will never be in want. We are not missing out if we don’t experience everything this world has to offer. We can be content in Christ.
You Won’t Miss It
