Ryali, India

Located in a heavily agricultural region and surrounded by Hindu temples in southeastern India is the Ryali Church of Christ. The Ryali church was established in 1973 by Brother Jaya Paul and his wife Shoba, this church is now the focal point of efforts to spread the Gospel in that region. A visit to the Ryali Church is truly a blessing and an opportunity to experience the love of God in action.

So, just what does a visit to the Ryali church look like? After being honored with so many beautiful necklaces of flowers that you can barely move be prepared for a seemingly endless demonstration of Christian love. You will be surrounded by the precious children of the Bud and Joy Children’s Home and the Song of Joy School who are more than anxious to show you their many talents. Sunday brings an uplifting worship with almost 500 of our Ryali brethren along with the students who attend the Wendell J. Kelley Preaching School. Brother Jaya Paul will likely accompany you to some of the more than 175 congregations planted or supported in some manner by the Ryali church. Riverchase is truly blessed to be one of three primary sponsoring congregations for this group of believers who daily evangelize by living their faith.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. – Matthew 28:19-20
