Luke 7:13-15 And when the Lord saw her, He felt compassion for her, and said to her, “Do not weep.” And he came up and touched the coffin; and the bearers came to a halt. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise!” And the dead man sat up, and began to speak. And Jesus gave him back to his mother. (NASB)
The uncertainty and unexpected is our daily bread. Everyday we start the same, not knowing what’s going to happen. Because we live by faith, we go on everyday with our routine, expecting and hoping that things won’t change. But we know that things do change.
Every person we encounter today is going through something in their lives. Some of their situations are more severe than others. Just like Jesus when He came to this widow and saw her distress. He felt compassion. We need to do the same for people in distress. We need to open our eyes and see people’s sorrows and bring them joy. Be the unexpected joy in someone’s life today.
