Hebrews 13:1,2 Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.
How long do you wait at a restaurant before we start to lose patience, especially when we go to fast food restaurants and no one is at the counter. We wait 5 full minutes and no one comes to ask for your order, do we walk out, grumble, leave a bad review on yelp or google? So how do people feel when they visit our congregation and no one talks to them.
How friendly are we? We have visited churches in different places in many states. When we attend we look for people who might send a smile our way, who will make eye contact and come to greet us. When we have been sitting for a while and we don’t have one person come say “Hi”, I feel disappointed, I feel unimportant and let down. If we see a face we don’t know, let’s make eye contact and make them feel welcomed. It’s our duty, it’s God’s command that we do so. How would God rate our congregation?
