Isaiah 46:9-11
9 Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. 10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ 11 From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do.
As we study the Old Testament it is hard to miss the many wonders God did with Israel. When I look back at the events that happened, I can’t help but wish that I could have seen them. I wish I was there to witness it all. I used to feel disappointed that I didn’t see it but not anymore. Now I look forward to seeing what God is doing in my time! You see God is still working. God is still carrying out his plan, and it is not just a plan for me but a worldwide plan. People in their time didn’t understand what was happening. Think about Joseph, King Saul, Gideon and Samson. God worked through them to carry out His plan.
God is working today to carry out His plan of salvation to all mankind, He is opening doors. He is closing others, and He is doing everything to get His people back to Him. Are we part of that plan? Would you like to be? God will accomplish His plan, and we can choose to be part of it. God will be pleased if we do.
