My name is Jesus David Dorantes. My mom and dad gave me this name because they always wanted me to remember whom I represent. Sometimes I do well. Sometimes I don’t.
Frustration sets in for everyone from time to time when we “do what we don’t want to do, and what we don’t want to do, we do.”
How Do We Stay Focused on Jesus?
First: You must set your mind on things above, things eternal. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable– if anything is excellent or praiseworthy– think about such things. (Phil. 4:8 NIVO)
Second: Focus is a forward seeking process, always setting your eyes and vision on the finish line. When do we get defocused or run off the road or trip? Typically these happen when we get distracted…a symptom of being defocused.
Third: Don’t make excuses nor compromises. Remember that you are a child of God and you wear His name. You represent Him.
Let us all represent Him well. Be Christ like. Love Him with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Love your neighbor as yourself.
