What God speaks is reality and truth. Or, in the case of creation, what he speaks becomes reality and truth. Such is the power of God’s word.
So aren’t you glad that his word is reality and his promises true?
Especially in weeks like this one in Central Alabama when the rains just keep coming.
I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.” (Genesis 9:11 NIV)
We still have local floods, but never again a flood to destroy the earth and all that is on it.
God has given us so many promises.
In Christ we have all spiritual blessings.
In Christ we are counted as holy and blameless by God.
In Christ we have redemption through Jesus’ blood and the forgiveness of our sins.
God’s word is sure. God’s word can be trusted. Everything will turn out just as God has said that it would.
Trust his word and live in his promises.
