Find A Way, Not An Excuse

1 Corinthians 10:11 These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come. 12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! 13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it (NIV).
There’s a sense of confidence when we accomplish a task; a chemical release into our brain called dopamine which gives us a sense of pleasure and satisfaction when, in our mind, we believe we have finished a task. When we listen to God’s commands and when we do his commands, how does that make you feel? Say for instance when you feed the homeless, when you assist someone on the road, or how about when you pay for someone’s groceries? It makes us feel good, doesn’t it! I know it makes me feel like I have a purpose, and that I have worth.
God will always provide a way to accomplish the command given. Read the stories in the book of Acts. The beginning of the church was rocky and difficult but look where we are now! There are countries filled with the Lord’s people. When God asks you to do something, He will provide a way. Find a way to do what He commands!
