I had been receiving a series of texts from my fellow ministers and elders. Thinking I was done with the texts, I decided to end the link.
As you may know, the Iphone has now made it possible to quickly respond to texts through a list of premade responses included in the phone. I have found these to be useful when I was not able to reply in full.
However, on this occasion I intended to select “dismiss” to end the link to the texts. Instead I hit “BRB”. Panic ensued. What did I just say?
I asked Siri what “BRB” stood for. She quickly responded, “British Railroad Board.” That made no sense. Why would Apple include “British Railroad Board” as a quick reply to a text?
As I was attempting to explain my mistake to my texting partners, David Dorantes gave me the answer. “In Teen lingo, BRB means ‘Be Right Back’.” David said he stayed up all night waiting for me to send another text.
But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. (1 Cor. 2:14)
To understand what is said you have to understand the one talking. A natural man, concerned only with the temporary and physical, interested only in his own desires and feelings, cannot understand the things the Spirit of God is revealing in the Bible until he begins to understand the mind of God and looks beyond the temporary and physical.
