At the request of Jehoshaphat, King of Judah, Ahab, King of Israel, reluctantly sent one of his officials to get the prophet of God named Micaiah.
As the official was bringing Micaiah, he pleaded with him to speak what was in agreement with the other “prophets” and deliver a favorable message to the king.
Micaiah responded, “As the LORD lives, what the LORD says to me, that I shall speak.” (1Ki 22:14)
Those are the words of the faithful messenger of God.
Make one change, “What the Lord says, that I will do”, and you have the life of the faithful person.
“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.”(Rom 10:17 )
Do you see how all of this fits together?
We listen to God’s word.
We believe it.
We speak what God’s word actually says.
We do what God ask us to do in the way He has asked us to do it.
This is faith.
This is the life of the faithful.
