2 Corinthians 12: 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (NIV)
What have you done wrong today? I’m sure that someone has pointed out what you did wrong, whether they might be right or not, it affects you. We all want to do our best and do better everyday. How long can you last in an environment where only your flaws and weaknesses are pointed out? That would be a very depressing environment. Think about work, home, church. Are we the one that builds up or tears down?
As a co-worker, I’m not there to correct someone else’s job, no matter the position you hold. You are there to do your job. If your job is to correct someone else’s job, then you can always point out the things that are done right, and the things that need work. Be kind about it. As a husband, our job is not to correct our wife or to point out where they mess up. That’s what gets us in trouble! We are there to support, uplift and encourage them. As a father, my job is not to point out all the mistakes a child makes. They’re going to mess up, A LOT! My job is to love them despite those mistakes but correct them in love by showing them how it needs to be done. As a Christian, love, love and love. Let God sort it out in the last day. I’m not their judge. I’m here to love them. We all struggle. Let’s help each other to be strong!
