The Difference

1 John 2: 28 And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming. 29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him. (NIV)
We need a lot of prayers as a nation. It seems that there is a lot of hate going around. Some people are choosing sides, some people are condemning one action and not the other. Some people just want to hate. That’s all I’m going to say about what I have observed. Now let me tell you about what our Father says.
There is always an opportunity to do right wherever we are. The kindness that the apostle John shows towards all the world needs to be imitated. When we are committed Christians, we need to have the courage to do what is right. One of the actions that shows that we are children of God is when we DO right. To do that, it takes Courage and it takes Faith. Sometimes doing what is right goes against how we feel at the moment. Doing what is right will make you feel alone and underwhelmed, but you have been born of God! You have been trained in His word to practice godliness; therefore we know that showing grace, mercy and compassion towards all is how we show Jesus to a world that desperately needs Him. The difference between us and the world is that we don’t hate anyone regardless of their gender, race, color and religion. Jesus died for ALL the world, so then we must love ALL the world.
