Deuteronomy 4: 9 “Only give heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently, so that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen and they do not depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your sons and your grandsons.” (NASB)
Take time to pray with your kids. Make sure they know what is going on in your heart and what your heart is feeling. This is something we cannot neglect. All dads need to pray with each of their kids individually! Not only at night, but at all times. Let them know how God takes care of you and them!
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you were working in the garage or preparing for a trip, and you grabbed one of your kids and prayed with them? Our hope as a parent is that ourkids know that their father cares enough to pray. Our children need this! Everytime I pray with people, they let me know how much it means to them. They feel so much better and their attitude changes. I know we will get the same results when we pray with our children.
