Romans 15:4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. (NIV)
Do you know what happened in history on March 6? As I’m writing this article I’m also watching a show called, “World War 2” in color, but it wasn’t that war that I had in mind. The point in history I remember is the one that brought Mexico and the U.S. into war. To this day, in many military schools, this event is taught in History. It is a reminder that a few people in a small fort, around 200, can show a lot of courage against an army of 5000. It is said that many soldiers shouted this phrase “Remember the Alamo” as they launched into battle when the odds were against them. This was to remind them what a small group of courageous men can do to defend their land.
This event is a reminder that even today, we can use courage to inspire a few men to defend what is right. Our battle is not a physical one, but rather a spiritual. We need to be the type of Christians that defend the truth and defend our beliefs against a world that is trying to corrupt it. We need to be the courageous people who will stand with each other to defend whom we believe…Jesus! REMEMBER THE CROSS!
Remember This….
