Acts 13: 46-48 Then both Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken first to you. Since you reject it and judge yourselves to be unworthy of eternal life, we are now turning to the Gentiles. For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, ‘I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles, so that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’” When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and praised the word of the Lord; and as many as had been destined for eternal life became believers.
This week I’m in Yucatan with a group from Beltline Church of Christ in Decatur, Alabama. We are be providing many services for the people here. We have doctors, a pharmacy and VBS along with many other spiritual services. What I love about mission trips is that you can see a lot of people’s light shining. Many children come scared to see the doctor, some even crying, but at the end of the day, they are begging to be brought back again. They love seeing how happy the people are there to help serve them. They might look different, but kids don’t see that, they see kindness and love. We are called to shine! Shine love and kindness wherever you go!
