I have a big dog, and we must keep her on a leash when we go for a walk. On one occasion, of many, she got loose and ran away. She was stopping at every mailbox and every yard and it took us a good 10 minutes to get her back. I was so mad and embarrassed that my neighbors were looking and chuckling as I was running to catch that silly dog.
Have we ever tried to put God on a leash? This is what I mean. We think God only works in a certain way, or that God can only do some things, and anything beyond that must not be from God. We must realize that God on a leash is not God; rather, he is a pet. We may not think of God like that on purpose, but in our hearts and minds, we have limited Him! Let God be God in your life, and let God do great things in your life. God is not confined in a box or a building. He is God of the universe! There is no other like Him! Open your eyes and see how awesome our God is!
