“As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more.” 1 Thessalonians 4:1
Before Paul left the church in Macedonia he gave them instructions and directions on how to live. Most importantly, he gave them direction on how to live in order to please God. Even from a young age we are told to be kind to others, to respect others and to have other peoples’ interests in mind. While those things are important and good things to keep in mind, but we need to keep God’s interest above everything else..
The men of God don’t concern themselves with the things of this world. We are not concerned about what is popular and what famous people think. We are concerned about what God wants. We are concerned about the things that please God. The men of God seek God’s approval first and foremost. We need to be committed to this idea. We have the instructions. Read and study everyday so you know how to be a man of God.
