Luke 17:10 So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.’” (ESV)
Has this ever happened to you? Say, you go out of your way to help someone and at that person doesn’t even say thank you. Or maybe you have been in a situation where you are working and someone asks you for a favor, so you stop working and take care of that friend. When you are done you don’t hear a thank you or I appreciate it. One more situation, what about when you are driving and you let someone in after they have been there a while they don’t wave or acknowledge that you were kind enough to let them in.
Don’t worry! Don’t get mad or frustrated! I know that feeling because it has happened to me as well. We need to remember this verse, that we are doing what we are supposed to do. We are doing what God has asked us to do. If people don’t acknowledge it or thank us, it doesn’t matter. We have only done what our master asked us to do and we need to keep on doing it.
