Jonah 2
The prayer of Jonah in Chapter 2; we can understand something about prayer. Jonah was in distress. Jonah was in pain, sorrow and suffering. Jonah was in that position because he put himself in that position by running away from God. Jonah refused to do what God asked him to do, which was a great thing! God asked him to preach, which not many at that time had the privilege. Jonah forgot that God is everywhere and that God can see him no matter where he was hiding; and that includes the belly of the fish. God heard his prayers when he was in distress. If God can hear the prayers of a rebellious servant and the prayers of the one who refused to do what God asked him to do, so then, can God listen to our prayers?
Even when people have been running away from God, God can hear their prayers. God can hear your prayers, do not stop praying, do not stop telling God what you are feeling and how you are feeling, especially when you are in a tough situation because you put yourself there. God is greater than all your problems. Believe that.
