1 Peter 3:13-15 Who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be troubled, but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence.
In the next few weeks, I will write some small lessons to help us prepare ourselves with answers that people may ask. I will provide Bible verses that may help you to help people understand answers to their questions. One more thing that I will mention is that we don’t have to memorize all these scriptures to help someone, but it does help to have it ready in our Bibles and in our hearts.
Remember that when we talk to people about our beliefs, it is never good to become argumentative, We should never engage in these conversations with the mindset that we are trying to “win a debate.” Losing our temper will do no good. When we talk to people, we need to do it with a gentle heart and with respect. Don’t make people feel dumb nor threatened. With the proper attitudes, it will allow them to actually hear what we have to say, and for us to listen to what their questions are and what they have to say to us. Let’s prepare ourselves!
