He walked this world as a man, a human being. But no human has ever completely walked like Him.
He was free from all the prejudices of the world around Him. His words, miracles and grace touched all of humanity. Whether Jew, Gentile or Samaritan, they learned of His love for them.
He was free from pride, envy and jealousy. He came to serve, not to be served. He washed feet. He touched lepers. He offered His grace and mercy to those caught up in sin and rejected by the rest of society.
He was not ruled by politics nor politicians. He would recognize their God-given authority, and teach his followers to obey them and support them, but never to the level they should honor, obey and serve God. He lived a free man because His life was lived for God. God directed His paths and determined every action He took in life. God was His master, not men.
His wisdom was the word of God. His message was the word of God. He was, in fact, the Word of God.
His message for all was, “What does God say?” “How do you read the scriptures?”
God was His Father. He walked with Him every step He took. He talked to Him constantly. His Father’s will was the purpose of His life.
His joy and courage in the midst of horrible suffering was returning home to His Father. He offers those who follow Him the same eternal hope.
