Do you have a question you would love to ask Jesus?
What would it be?
He was certainly asked a lot of questions. Like the one Peter asked about the future of his fellow apostle, John. Jesus’ answer? “What is that to you? Be faithful to me.”
He didn’t always give an answer.
What if I asked, “Lord, am I saved?” Would he not say, “I have done everything that needs to be done for you to be saved. Do you believe me? Are you listening to me? That depends on you.”
Isn’t that pretty close to what he said to the rich young ruler?
It seems to me the words of the song get it right. “What more can he say than to you he has said, you who unto Jesus for refuge have fled?”
He has given us everything we need to know for life and godliness. He has given us his words. He has given us his life and blood to pay for all of our faults and sins. He is the truth to believe and the holiness to trust.
God loved you so much, he gave his son for you so that if you believe in him you will not perish.
Any questions?
