Isaiah 40:28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. (NIV)
In this chapter, Isaiah wanted to convey God’s message of comfort to His people by helping them understand that God does not grow weary as humans do. God is never too tired to hear your prayers, or too tired to bring you comfort. I notice that after I spend a lot of time talking with people, I get tired. Don’t get me wrong, I love talking to everyone and seeing what’s new with them, but at the end of the day, I’m exhausted.
Our God can listen to all the prayers of the world and never tire. I find so much comfort knowing that my God is available to hear me anytime I need Him. If you think back to those times when you struggled by yourself, thinking you had no one to turn to, God was there! Think about the time when you were broken and lonely. God was ready to comfort you, as soon as you opened your mind and heart to reach out to Him. Never forget that our God is always there for us!
