Hebrews 1:1 ; 4:12; Isaiah 53:11
When you bring to memory all the things that God did to get the attention of His people, what story comes to mind? For me, the story of Moses and the burning bush comes to mind first. Since I heard this story for the first time when I was young, I wondered what it would be like to see this; I wanted to see a burning bush for the longest time, but as I got older, I realized that God doesn’t call us by burning bushes.
Sometimes we are looking for something to get us started again to do things for the Lord. We sometimes are waiting for the lesson that is going to stir our hearts or maybe waiting for a person to come talk to us to tell us what to do, or even some are waiting for a song or a poem to move them to action. The reality is that God is trying to get our attention everyday! We don’t have to search far; we have the Bible! We just need to open it and read it, and you will see the difference in your life once you decide to start practicing it. We don’t need burning bushes or falling walls. What we need is to open our Bibles and our hearts, and you will see not a burning bush, but a burning heart to do God’s will.
