Assurance. We all want it. We all seek it. Too often, we seek it in all the wrong ways.
The full assurance that faith brings. What does that mean?

The very next verse should help us.

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23 NIV)

Faith comes from hearing the word of God.

Faith is trusting God and what He has said.

Faith is not whatever I want to believe or think.

Full assurance comes from believing what God has actually said. The God who knows all things. The God who has all power. The God who does not lie. The God who keeps His promises.

Drawing near to Him is coming to know His heart, His will, His words. Listening to Him and submitting to Him is trusting Him. Trusting Him brings assurance. The full assurance of fait
