12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; 13 planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, 15 proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”
God’s plan for you, his child, his loved one, the apple of his eye is to flourish. In order to flourish you have to be planted and watered. You see a lot of times the reason we don’t grow is that we are not planted. We are like the little plants from the store in baskets of dirt waiting to be moved somewhere else. After a while when no one buys it, they wither and lose all hope of growth.
We need to be planted in the Church. We need to be planted in God’s court in order to flourish. We need to be watering our hearts and minds with God’s word as much as we can. Let’s read God’s word and memorize it and study it and practice it. God wants us to flourish!
