Acts 2:44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. (NASB)
Family reunions can be a little awkward. In Mexico I lived in the city and the rest of my cousins lived in small towns. Every time we visited, there were new cousins and boyfriends and girlfriends. I could never figure out who was an uncle, a cousin or just a neighbor. Most of the time I felt out of place.
Some times the same thoughts are expressed regarding fellowships. I don’t know anyone. I don’t know those I should know and I have been coming here for a long time. Our fellowships are about family getting together and catching up! We usually just say hi, or shake a hand and smile. Our fellowships should involve talking to each other about what is going on in our lives. The Christians looked forward to fellowship! They knew that after worshipping God, they were going to connect with each other. It was a time to build relationships.
