This past Sunday we talked about the importance of doing.
The Bible makes it very clear that good intentions and even saying, “Lord, Lord”, do not take the place of doing the will of the Father.
Planning to do something and even deciding to do something, while important steps, are still not the same as doing something.
After the lesson in the first service, Kim Stewart introduced me to a quotation she had been familiar with for some time. I want to share it with you.
Thinkers think and doers do,
But until the thinkers do
And the doers think,
Progress will be just another
Word in the already
Overburdened vocabulary
Of the talkers who talk.

I really like that. I love the emphasis of doing with wisdom. Doing the right thing. Of talking less and doing more.
Let’s be busy doing the things of God in all we do.
