1 Peter 4:14 If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 Make sure that none of you suffers as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler; 16 but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name. (NASB)
I know that many of us have suffered criticism at one point or another. Sometimes with good reason I received criticism. Other times I felt offended and humiliated by it, but with time we get over it. The process of getting over it is not easy, but we can make it easier when we expect it, when we learn from it and when we decide to let it go. Criticism helps us grow. A brother once told me “Put your shell on everyday.” That has helped me a lot. I respond to compliments by saying thank you, and I respond to criticism by saying thank you. I can glorify God by the things that I do, and by the things I am learning to do.
