I took some time this week to clean out some pictures and videos stored on my phone and computer. It has been needed for a while now.
Our Grands love to use my phone to make videos and weird pictures. By weird, I mean they love to take a picture and distort their faces into a horrible look. So I removed the distorted, out of focus, blank, and unwanted pictures.
During the process of my cleaning out the phone, it occurred to me that I need to do the same thing with my brain.
Who said, “Amen”?
I think Paul was thinking along these lines when he said, “Forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Again he says, “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.” (Phil. 4:8 NAU)
It’s time to clear the mind of the distorted, twisted, and faulty thinking and strive to fill it with the truth of God.
