Do you like change? Depends on what is changing, doesn’t it?
I’m sure most of us are not happy with the changes that have come about as the result of COVID. Most of us are looking forward to returning to a more normal life situation.
Changes often sadden us. Like the decisions made by some to move or pursue other occupations. The Cliffords and the Clemmons have recently made such a decision; and now, Scott and Whitney Pruitt have made that decision. We are saddened by the change that is coming. We wish them all the best and pray for their continued success and faithfulness in their new areas of responsibility and service.
Now, we face coming changes as others will step in to take their place. We pray for good changes blessed by God. We are well on our way with Dee Sandlin stepping in to serve as a new secretary, along with Donna and Kim.
Change is constantly around us. We never know when it will come, and what kind of challenges it will bring to us. But one thing we can always remember, we serve a God who is in control and always works for the good of those who love him. Our God does not change.
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? (Numbers 23:19 NIV)
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. (James 1:17 NIV)
