Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” (NIV)
The Gospel is the dynamite, it is the power of God to save. Thinking about powerful explosives I think of C4, which is a plastic explosive that can penetrate armored vehicles. When I think of the Gospel, I believe that it can break the toughest of hearts. There are four things that make the Gospel effective. The Gospel has 4 c’s which make it effective for salvation to any person who believes. The first C is Christ, the second C is the Cross, the third C is the church and last C is courage.
Christ is the most important component for salvation. Without Him there’s no salvation and redemption. The cross is important in order to remind us of the great price and how much His sacrifice needs to be appreciated. The Church is important because God’s power and God’s love is channeled through there. We are the church; we are God’s vessels to help people come to believe. Courage is important, for it is what is needed to confess and live a life worthy of the Gospel. We need courage everyday to live as a Christian.
