1 Corinthians 15:10 (NIV)
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.
I lack the words to express how blessed I am. It all started the day I was born. I was born to a family who was imperfectly following Christ. I was born to parents who disciplined me so that I could learn to listen and obey. I was born to siblings who gave me a hard time and sometimes were not the nicest to me. I was born to a poor family who barely had food some days. I came to a country when I had no money and didn’t speak the language. I have been overlooked for opportunities and made fun of because of the way I talked and looked. Because of all of this it has formed me and made me the person I am today. I am blessed
I am blessed because I have come to know the Lord. I am blessed because he took pity on me to rescue my soul from damnation. I am blessed because I had parents who knew the Lord, and siblings to encouraged me to follow the Lord. I am blessed because I have a wonderful wife and family who love, support and honor me more than I deserve. I am blessed because I am part of a church family who accepted me for who I am and don’t care how I talk, but try to understand what I’m trying to say. In all of this, we are who we are because of the grace of God.
