Have you noticed how easily our eyes go for the shiny things? It could be a shiny present, it could be a shiny new car, but the things that are shiny get our attention. The presents under the tree, which ones call your attention? The big and shiny, right? Then you have everyone wondering whose is it? Who is going to get the big box or the big bag?
As I think of that, I also think of my life. Is my life worth opening for other people to see? Do people get happy and hopeful when they pass by me? Am I that present that everyone expects to get, or am I the present that everyone hopes they don’t get? My life is the only Gospel people will ever see. My words are the only Gospel some people will hear. My example is the only Gospel some people will have to evaluate who Jesus is. The same is true of you, some people may never step foot in our building unless we present ourselves as something worth looking at. Make sure that your words, your example and your life are a reason why people would want to see Jesus. Be the type of person that when people look at you, they will see Jesus, and they would want to see more of Him!
