Compare current research to a statement made in the Bible in Luke 1:39-45.
Mary, having learned she would have a child, went to visit her relative, Elizabeth, who was in her sixth month of pregnancy with her son who would be named John. When Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby in Elizabeth’s womb “leaped.” Elizabeth, by the Holy Spirit, said, “When the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.”
